In my newest works, I find myself again turning to my local surroundings for inspiration. I have the privilege of living in the largest urban forest in the world, where dense tangles of trees and undergrowth are the norm. I turn to this landscape for peace and direction, and I found myself seeing this chaotic tangle as a metaphor for the troubling times of today. These new works are my way of finding a way to simplify, look for hope, and find a path through.
